How to use the wheel spinner
- Type or paste your names — Enter one name per line in the text box on the left, or paste a comma-separated list. You can add up to 100 entries.
- Click Load Names — Your entries appear on the wheel immediately. The wheel updates as you add or remove names.
- Click the wheel (or hit Spin) — The wheel spins and slows to a stop on a random segment. The winner is shown with a celebration overlay.
- Keep or remove the winner — Choose to keep the winner on the wheel for future spins, or remove them so they can't be picked again.
Frequently asked questions
Is FreeSpinner truly random?
Yes. Each spin uses JavaScript's
Math.random() function, which is seeded differently
on every spin. Past results have no influence on future outcomes
— every name has an equal chance of being selected every time.
How many names can I add?
You can add up to 100 names per wheel. Paste them all at once (one per line) or type them individually. The wheel scales its segment size automatically.
Can I remove the winner so they are not picked again?
Yes. After each spin, click Remove winner and the name disappears from the wheel permanently for that session. This is useful for raffles where each person can only win once.
Can I share or embed my wheel?
Yes. Click Share in the top bar to get an embed code you can paste into any website. The shareable URL also contains your entries, so you can bookmark it and return to the same wheel at any time.
Does FreeSpinner save my data?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your list of names is never sent to a server or stored anywhere. Closing the tab clears everything — unless you bookmark the share URL.
Does it work on mobile?
